Opportunity and engagement model

PICMI is an opportunity and engagement platform.

It supports employment, services, placements, and workforce participation through one consistent model.

An opportunity can be a:

  • job, role, or position
  • contract engagement
  • service proposal

People can engage with these opportunities through applications, enrolments, referrals, placement requests, or service participation requests.

PICMI improves outcomes by separating work into distinct stages and letting organisations improve each stage independently.

Three-stage model

PICMI uses a practical three-stage model:

1) Attract

Organisations define and promote opportunities through channels that suit their ecosystem.
PICMI does not force one sourcing method. You can use referrals, community networks, workforce partners, campaigns, or external tools.

2) Engage

This is where PICMI is strongest.
Organisations run structured intake and engagement workflows so people can understand the opportunity, complete requirements, and move through configured decision points.

Examples:

  • employment agreement intake for workforce roles
  • service agreement intake for provider participation

3) Activate

Once accepted, participants move into active placement or service delivery.
PICMI then supports handoff into operational systems (for example payroll, workforce records, or service operations).

Participation lifecycle

Across employment and services contexts, participation typically follows this lifecycle:

Identify

Determine who may participate (new or returning people, providers, or crews).

Invite

Initiate participation through direct invitation or open intake, depending on configuration.

Assess fit

Collect required details, declarations, and supporting information to confirm suitability.

Agree

Finalise engagement terms (employment agreement, service agreement, or programme participation terms).

Place or allocate

Move the person or provider into placement, active allocation, or service participation.

Continue or complete

Manage status changes, re-engagement, and completion over time.
